Segmentation of Spinal Vertebrae

For my final project in ECE 5780: Computer Analysis of Biomedical Images, I worked in a team to develop a Computer Vision algorithm that took in raw 3D Computed Tomography (CT) images and performed a segmentation on deformed spinal vertebrae. Our algorithm consisted of mean filtering, 3D region growing, and morphological filtering. This was a theoretical submission to the xVertSeg challenge.
